notusCSDB is our flagship product for managing your S1000D projects and assets in a Common Source Database. Our training courses cover administration and management of the CSDB, authoring and reviewing roles, and install and maintenance for self-hosted options

Installing notusCSDB (N1)

The course will equip you with the skills necessary to install notusCSDB, create databases, create user accounts, and assign server settings. This course is for users of on-site self-hosted solutions only.

This course is run as a hands-on workshop, completing the required functions under guidance from our expert, getting you ready to start working with your on-site notusCSDB server.

Who is this course for?

This course is for IT personnel or administrators that install an on-site self-hosted solution only

How long is the course?

½ day on-site, or
1 half-day session on-line, as long as remote access is available to the server

This course would normally be combined with N2 above, to install and load the CSDB prior to author training (course N3)

What does the course cover?

Initial installation and configuration of the notusCSDB server, installation of notusCSDB dashboards, and configuration and loading of the system, including:

Server installation
  • Creating a service account
  • Installing the software and starting services
  • Maintenance considerations
  • Connecting dashboards and testing connectivity
  • Prepare for handover to tech pubs team

Managing notusCSDB (N2)

The course will equip you with the skills necessary to manage projects, asset workflow, user permissions and import and export content to or from notusCSDB

Who is this course for?

This course is for technical publications managers, senior editors or team leader roles that manage the distribution of work, and publication or project level tasks

1½ days on-site, or
3 half-day sessions on-line

All aspects of managing projects and teams using notusCSDB, including:
